Problem Harry: I was having trouble booting my Mac desktop computer. I gave the computer to UHERO (Carl Bonham) for Shih-Ling to use. He took out the hard drive and installed a new drive with a new system. The machine works just fine. However, I have important files on my old hard drive. Can you provide me with some assistance? Ideally, I could get access to that HD and use the drive like an external drive. Please advise. The HD is in the UHERO main office. Thanks

Problem Please get all three desktops in room 216 online to the internet. There is one internet port in the room. When connected to only one computer in the room, the one internet port does work (albeit very slowly). When I tried to split the port with my own 5-port ethernet switch (which does work), the connection did not work. Thank you

Problem I would like to connect a second computer to the internet, however there is only one data jack in my office. Ideally I would like to use a wireless router (that I currently have), but a wired connection is OK too. Could someone help me?

Problem Hello CCS ITS...you can fix anything guys (do we have any gals?): Dr. Irwin has REALLY OLD ethernet cables in her office (Saunders 238)that keep going off and on. Please come and check them out. Secondly Dr. Irwin has just moved into this office and needs to set up a second computer that needs a LONG ethernet cable, key board, and mouse.
